AMELIA ist ein Hamburger Jazz Quartett, das sich mit Eigenkompositionen dem Puls einer jungen, urbanen Jazzszene hingibt. Zusammen suchen die vier Musiker:innen nach Momenten der Schönheit und Melancholie und bringen diese in ihrer Musik zum Leben. Ihr Sound ist geprägt von musikalischen Vorbildern wie Aaron Parks, Bill Frisell und Ambrose Akinmusire. Die Band spielt Songs, in denen Komposition und Improvisation gleichgestellt sind und Melodien im Vordergrund stehen.

AMELIA is a Hamburg-based jazz quartet that has its finger on the pulse of the young urban jazz scene. Together, the four musicians search for moments of beauty and melancholy and bring them to life in a strong, cohesive sound. Their music is influenced by musical role models such as Aaron Parks, Bill Frisell and Ambrose Akinmusire. The band plays songs in which composition and improvisation are on equal footing and melodies take center stage.
